My name is Kevin Heacock.  I was a Flight Surgeon living in Guam working for the United States Air Force and after serving 3 years there I have started a 4-year Psychiatry Residency at Wright-Patterson AFB in conjunction with Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.

My wife, Alison, and I got married in Guam after 1 year of dating, 1 year of living together, and 1 year of engagement (3 years total).  We missed our families while we were in Guam, but we enjoyed being a young couple living on a tropical island and traveling around the Pacific.  Now, we’re happy to be within a 7-8 hour drive of our families.

I have been using a Mac since 1997 in my freshmen year at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA.

Back then I was running Mac OS 8 and my computer crashed very often, but something made me fall in love with my Mac.  And then when Mac OS X came out and the first PowerBook was introduced I just had to have one and I have never looked back.

I’m always learning new things about Macs and the OS and, as many of you know, things at Apple are always changing.  So there’s always something new to learn and I enjoy sharing that with others.

With the recent surge in people switching from PCs to Macs I hope iMacazine will help those new to the Mac learn to love it as much as I do.

If you’d like to contribute to iMacazine or just have thoughts on how to do it better, or if there’s anything not covered that you need help with please send me an Email at imacazine@mac.com.
